BASE/NET (B/N) (2019-present) employs tactics of algorithmic composition, the archival trend, and Personalized/financial information, against the utopic and anti-capitalist impetus of the hardware free Algorave movement to mobilize a music composed entirely from Data from Credit Cards and Script data from personal accounts via market sites related to Musical production. B/N then makes these sources public by “leaking/breaching” this data public via sample packs, in order to imitate the flows of information depending on its usefulness/values to others. The MIDI files are then rooted into budget analog gear, and MIDI simulations of instruments unattainable value to lead to further complications to the form.
